About a week after Comic Con, I pretty much assumed that I wasn’t going to hear back on any more of my lil’ crocheted buddies. Not because people are awful beings or anything, simply because after a certain time window, people will either forget, or it’s no longer in the forefront of their minds to let me know that they’ve found one of my lil’ buddies. It’ll be piled away with all the other cool stuff they pick up at Comic Con, and the little adoption tag asking to contact me about adoptions will probably be lost.
So imagine my surprise when I get a tweet on my phone late last night with the following message:
“My apologies, I completely forgot to send this to you. I would like to let you know that Dr Manhattan safe and happy!”
And it was paired with this picture:
Dr. Manhattan has been found! 🙂 Uber-thanks to @vederdax for letting me know that Dr. Manhattan is safe and happy in sunny Los Angeles, CA! He also sent me some more awesome post-adoption photos:
Looks like Dr. Manhattan’s made some new friends. 🙂
Awwww. Lookit the happy family!
I’d be lying if I said this wasn’t my favorite part of dropping off my little friends for adoption. 🙂 I’ll definitely have to consider doing this again next year (if I can get into Comic Con again to begin with…tickets sell out ridiculously fast!). Oooh, the pressure’s on! 🙂
